About
I am product engineer and applied mathematician from Germany, currently living in New Zealand. I love to try out new technologies and to do things the first time.
Work
I currently work as a product engineer on digital identity at MATTR . We are actively shaping the standards around high-trust digital identity and build products that preserve the control and privacy of users while preventing fraud and identity theft online and in-person.
Research
I graduated from the University of Münster with a Ph.D. in applied mathematics, working in a collaboritive research center on molecular cardiovascular imaging . Collaborating with physicians, physicsts, chemists and computer scientists, we developed new methods examine cardiovascular diseases.
For my diploma thesis, I extended a popular model in geographical economics . By deviating from the typical choice for a production function, I was able to model a phenomenon called "poverty traps".
